Digital Storytelling and Innovative Practices de-brief

I must say it has been an intersting two days with Marlene Manto from TAFE SA, who has been in Darwin to teach us Digital Storytelling and to go through other Innovative Practices in a training environment.

Day 1 saw us through different tools that may make our life just that little bit simpler by using free web2.0 technologies. Marlene did mention to be mindful of the fact that sometimes you might find a tool you really like, that 6 months later might not work anymore due to being developed by practicing uni students etc. But that most will be there for the long run the more people use them and realise how valuable they can be.

To see what we covered on day 1 go to http://darwinworkshops.wikispaces.com/.

Day 2 continued with more exciting exercises such as speed dating and through to making participants think about their own training/teaching practices.

Participants were asked to think about and to answer "What they were going to do with elearning as of Monday?" Not just I am going to start using it, but exactly what they are going to do and the purpose of it.
