Connected voices: connected learning part 2
Registering and adding other participants in the workshop as contacts on Flickr.com was step 2. Some uploaded photos of their own and some browsed the vast photo library available on Flickr.
Our workshop then took us to talking with Stephen Ridgeway about how they are using wikis within their institution. Participants launched into creating their own wikis on wikispaces.com, for whatever purposes they could think of at the time and started adding information to their wikis and explored the different web2.0 add ins that could be embeded within their wiki to provide information to readers.
Participants then had a chance to start their own blogger.com account. Our Chamber of Commerce LearnScope Project worked on their progress blog and looked at how they could incorporate the different web2.0 technologies to change the look and feel of their blog. Other participants started their blogs and added posts about their journey so far or focused on passions in their lives.
Day one has been full on and everyone is looking forward to Day 2 where we will be exploring the world of podcasting.
Here is an interesting video to take you on your way!
