Greetings from Alice

I've been in Alice Springs over the last couple of days visiting the Institute for Aboriginal Development to catch up with Lee Ting and see how their LearnScope project was progressing. They are going great guns with lots of new things being learnt, and very little time to do it in!!

I was able to let Lee Ting know that there was a CAETN (watch this space for the red hot link to DesEd space, says Alicia Boyle) workshop with the wonderful Bill Wade happening the very next day - demystifying the world of audio. Exactly the sort of thing that Lee Ting said she was interested in.

In the workshop the next day, Bill not only showed people the intricacies of audio101, but introduced people to the wonderful world of blogging. By 3pm, everyone, even the self identified newbies, were ignoring Bill and happily blogging away. A fantastic outcome.

Bill shows Gail from Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, a finer point of the world of the blogger.

It's not been that cold in Alice, but it was a challenge pulling out the winter woolies to cope with the milder temperatures of the red centre.

Cheers
